Blue Nurseries was established in 2011 when Garden designer and plantsman, Richard Hill decided to leave London and set up a new specialist nursery. The idea was to grow hardy exotic plants from around the world and to do this mainly from seed. With over 15 years experience of  garden design and exotic planting schemes, making the move to growing was the next logical step.

Starting with a tiny poly tunnel in a rented space, Blue nurseries now has three large poly tunnels, shade area and open beds on our own two acre site, with plans for further expansion.

With most of our plants being produced from seed, it is taking time to increase the choice of plants we have available. So keep checking our blog for news of new species as they become available.
