Aloe suprafoliata
Supplied in a 7cm pot

Aloe suprafoliata is relatively rare in cultivation. Known as the book aloe because of the juvenile growth being arranged in a fan shape, resembling the pages of an open book. Flowers are produced when young and are red to orange on a tall upright stem. A. suprafoliata originates from South Africa’s Northern Kwa Zulu-Natal and Swaziland where it is often subjected to mist and extremely low temperatures, making it a suitable candidate for mild costal  cultivation. But for most of us this is a succulent for pot cultivation and winter protection in a frost free greenhouse.
