Begonia ‘Torsa’

A fantastic big leaved hardy Begonia hybrid, resulting from crossing Begonia grandis and a as yet unidentified Bhutanese Begonia species. Similar in leaf shape, with deeply veined red undersides and delicate pink flowers. Basically like Begonia grandis, but on steroids with the exotic leaves up to 40cm across.
The big underground tuber benefits from a mulch of bark chip, but otherwise very easy in cultivation. If you like big leaves, you will love this Begonia.

Well drained but moist soil
