Hedychium greenii
Supplied in a 1.5 litre pot
Stunning bright red flowering ginger lily for the jungle garden. Grows to 1.2 meters with reddish pseudostems of dark green leaves, tinged with maroon on the undersides. The flowers are produced late in summer to early autumn.
We have found this to be not one of the hardier Hedychium and it will need to be lifted and stored in a frost free  environment for winter. However H. greenii  can be left in the ground in mild coastal areas of Cornwall and the south or in a city garden with a warmer microclimate.

Plants are supplied as a growing rhizome in a 1.5 litre pot and are similar to the plants seen in pictures 2 and 3. Picture one shows the flowers on a planted specimen and is not the plant for sale.
