This is a fantastic banana plant, with big green leaves marked with red/ maroon stripes and even produces edible fruits when mature. Can be grown in a large pot and placed outside on the patio or plunged into a tropical planting bed. Lift in early autumn and keep indoors in bright light.
Also at home in a conservatory or bright cool room. Not frost hardy.
