Trachycarpus fortunei var. ‘Tesan’
Supplied in a 0.8 litre pot
This is a relatively new Trachycarpus to European cultivation. It differs from the common T. fortunei in that the leaves are more compact, stiffer and rougher to touch. The trunk is broader, hairier and more squat than T.fortunei. It also has a reputation for being very frost hardy, coming originally from Tianshui, in Gansu Pronvince, Northwestern China, where temperatures can hit -20℃
These Trachycarpus fortunei var. ‘Tesan’ are seed grown on our nursery here in Wiltshire.
